Getting Started
SaveBuddy is a Chrome extension that saves links from a small popup. The idea is simple: keep a useful page now, find it again later.
What you can do
- Save a URL with an optional title.
- Save the current tab in one click.
- Edit the title or URL of any saved link.
- Copy a saved URL to the clipboard.
- Delete one link, or all of them.
- Show each site’s favicon next to its link.
- Open the popup with a keyboard shortcut.
- Store everything locally in your browser.
First steps
- Install SaveBuddy as an unpacked extension — see Installation.
- Save a link: type a URL and click SAVE LINK, or click SAVE TAB for the page you’re on (see Usage).
- Edit, copy, or delete links from the popup whenever you need to.
- Open it quickly with the shortcut (default
Alt+S) or the toolbar icon.
Requirements
- Chrome — SaveBuddy is a Manifest V3 extension for Chrome and Chromium browsers.
- The source code — there’s no Chrome Web Store listing yet, so you install it from source as an unpacked extension.
- No account — it works fully offline and local.
